FEARFUL LONGING
by Dreamy Poetess
In memory's depths, our first encounter ingrains,
Enchanting eyes etched in veins, where love remains.
Thoughts, tattoos inked within my heart's terrain,
Grasping the warmth of your hand, love I can't abstain.
Fear's grip restrains, afraid to embrace this view,
Uncertain actions, words to say and pursue.
I've resisted in vain, efforts to subdue,
Yearning hopelessly true, pain's claim I accrue.
Reason's escape, you reappear, love's refrain,
Trapped, ensnared, fool's fate in your mystic domain.
Lost in dreams, uncertainties, love's disdain,
Heart resists each moment, passion unrestrained.
Questioning absence, doubts flow, doubts begin,
Am I still your kin, your beloved akin?
Yearning for truth, love undeniably thin,
In your embrace, my flaws may cause chagrin.
Love endures, timeless, vibrant and robust,
Sun's glow, winds soaring, nature's tender thrust.
Embrace life, free from strife, passion's august,
Am I your bride, your eternal love's trust?
Yearning true love, in your embrace, I'll reside,
My flaws, your tears, a fear I cannot hide.
Yet desire for pure love, I won't subside,
In your arms, forever, let love's flame abide.
